Albion Investors LLC is no longer investing. It primarily invests in value added distribution, specialty manufacturing, distribution, business-to-business service, business service, consumer goods and products, and media companies. The firm typically invests between $5 million and $30 million in debt and $3 million and $15 million in equity in companies with an EBITDA over $4 million. In the area of direct investing it seeks to take lead position in micro-cap deals where deal size is between $5 million and $20 million or more, enterprise value is between $2 million and $15 million in companies with an EBITDA between $0.5 million and $3 million and which typically fall below the initial investment size of most institutional portfolios. The firm makes lead investment in Mid-Atlantic, North-East and South-East companies located in Continental United States and Canada. Albion's principals invest portions of their own capital in every lead transaction the firm pursues. It also seeks to co-invest between $1 million and $15 million in companies where enterprise value is between $20 million and $1 billion and EBITDA is greater than $4 million. The firm co-invests in Continental United States, Canada, and Europe. It has the ability to lead and arrange mezzanine financing up to $75 million. The firm’s principal form of investment is a mezzanine note, which usually consists of an equity option or participation in the company, and long-term subordinated debt with warrants and coupons ranging from 12 percent to 13 percent, and a maturity ranging from five to ten years with limited amortization. It seeks to take majority and minority stakes and board seat in its portfolio companies. Albion Investors LLC was founded in 1995 and is based in New York, New York.
