Atalaya Capital Management is a privately held, SEC-registered alternative asset manager specializing in private credit and special opportunities investments. Founded in 2006 by Ivan Zinn, the firm is headquartered in New York City and has managed over $10 billion in assets under management (AUM) as of June 30, 2024. Atalaya focuses on asset-based credit investments across consumer and commercial finance, corporate and real estate assets. Since its inception, the firm has deployed over $17 billion across more than 600 investments, sourcing nearly 70% of deal flow directly through asset owners, originators, or joint venture partners. In July 2024, Atalaya agreed to be acquired by Blue Owl Capital Inc. for $450 million, a transaction that was completed in September 2024. Following the acquisition, Ivan Zinn was appointed as Blue Owl's Head of Alternative Credit, reporting to Craig Packer, Head of Credit and Co-President of Blue Owl.
