Within business services, it invests in facility maintenance, equipment and data management, human resource outsourcing, recurring revenue streams, scalable business models, and value-added staffing. Within healthcare products and services, it invests in equipment maintenance/management, and outsourced services for hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and managed care providers, lab services and products, practice management services, and staffing. Within consumer products, it invests in Asian manufactured hard goods. The firm invests in companies based in the United States, preferably east of the Rocky Mountains, Midwest companies within a five hour drive of Chicago and Canada. It seeks to invest a minimum of $1 million in companies with a minimum enterprise value of $3 million, minimum sales value of $5 million, operating profit margins over 10%, and a minimum EBITDA of $1 million. The firm prefer to invest in U.S. companies east of the Rocky Mountains with minimum EBITDA of $2.0 million and Midwest companies within a five hour drive of Chicago with minimum EDITDA of $1.0 million. The firm prefers to have a controlling and majority interest in its portfolio companies. It seeks to make investments for a minimum of five years, with no required exit timeframe.
