CM Equity Partners is a private equity firm specializing in acquisitions and add-on acquisitions of middle market and mature companies. The firm also specializes in management buyouts, recapitalizations, corporate divestitures or spinoffs, growth capital, and consolidation strategies in attractive, fragmented industries. The firm makes investments in government contract service, water utilities and gas utilities and commercial printing businesses. The firm typically invests in federal services, aerospace and defense, specialty industrial, and business services. It invests in companies based in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom. The firm prefers to invest between $10 million and $50 million in companies having revenue between $20 million and $250 million; EBITDA between $3 million and $25 million and above; and transaction value between $25 million and $150 million. The firm prefers to make majority and minority investments, structured equity, and mezzanine debt investments. It invests for a period of four years to six years and makes controlling investments in its portfolio companies. Acquisitions made by the firm are generally funded with approximately 30 percent to 50 percent of equity from itself, the management, and other co-investing partners. The balance of the transaction funding is provided through senior and subordinated debt.
