It focuses its investment on packaging-related products including packing equipment and supplies; branded or highly engineered industrial products; disposable health care goods; aftermarket parts and accessories; building products; specialty machinery; defense and aerospace products; specialty chemicals, rubbers, and synthetics; electrical components and assemblies; niche branded products; automobile component manufactures; and general industrial business-to-business products. Within the industrial services sector, the firm targets packaging and contract packaging companies; maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) service providers; infrastructure and industrial maintenance; logistic providers; aviation support services - civil and military; destructive and non-destructive inspection; domestic and international logistics; niche and specialty distribution companies; specialty catalog companies; differentiated industrial service businesses; material handling; and recycling, refurbishment, and disposition companies. It generally invests in companies based in the continental United States. The firm seeks to invest in companies with enterprise values between $5 million and $50 million having annual revenues between $5 million and $100 million, operating profits between $1 million and $10 million, and EBIT margins of at least ten percent. It seeks to invest in companies where the top customer does not account for more than 30 percent of revenues. The firm seeks to acquire controlling interests in the portfolio companies and does not make minority investments. It prefers non-seasonal, mature, non-cyclical companies without excessive working capital needs relative to sales, as well as low-to-moderate annual capital expenditure requirements.
