Diamond Equity Partners is a private equity firm specializing in investments in distressed, turnarounds, and lower middle market companies. It invests in form of growth capital to add new facilities, products or to make acquisitions, leveraged buyouts - management led buyouts, change of control, company spin-offs, and shareholder liquidity events including recapitalizations and family succession. It seeks to invest in manufacturing, business services, branded consumer products, value added distribution, import/export, clean technologies, chemicals, online retail, alternative energy, recycling, water, and other environmental business. The firm seeks to invest in firms in North America. It seeks to invest upto $20 million in companies with an enterprise value of up to $50 million, revenue between $5 million and $150 million. It seeks to invest in firm with zero or negative EBITDA to EBITDA of $10 million (or has the potential to be cash flow positive in the near future). The firm prefers for control but is open to co-investment opportunities. The firm prefers to control equity investments but is still open to a variety of other structures such as purchase of assets such as real estate, inventory, and receivables, equipment and project financing, mezzanine capital, bridge loans, DIP financing, distressed debt, and acquisition out of bankruptcy. It is also prepared for “Opportunity Management” in situations where the market has put the company in distress or where results have not met expectations. It will assist in closing or selling any section of the business that is not able to achieve the desired profits. The firm invests out of personal capital.
