Five Points Capital LLC is a private credit arm of P10 Holdings, Inc. specializing in direct investments in mezzanine, buyouts, acquisitions, recapitalizations, industry consolidations, and subordinated investments in middle market companies, and fund of fund investments in private equity funds. The firm also makes subordinated debt, unitranche debt, Second lien debt and minority equity investments in lower middle market companies for buyout, acquisition, growth, and recapitalization transactions. It does not invest in startups. It does not make direct investments in real estate and financial services sectors. The firm typically invests in industrials, aerospace and defense, professional services, household durables, leisure equipment and products, education/ training, government, consumer services, beverages, business services, commercial & industrial services, marketing services, distribution/logistics, food products, household and personal products, healthcare services and personal products, life sciences, and information technology services, niche manufacturing, air freight and logistics, and trading companies and distributors. The firm primarily invests in companies based in the United States with a focus on Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. It prefers to invest between $5 million and $30 million in companies with minimum revenues of $10 million and an EBITDA greater than $3 million. It makes a debt investment between $5 million and $25 million. The firm seeks majority stake in the companies. It makes direct equity investments as the lead investor, or co-investor with other private equity groups, in control transactions of privately held companies and provides subordinated debt with equity co-investments in conjunction with other financial sponsors and on a non-sponsored basis with middle-market companies. The firm typically participates on the company's board of directors and exits its investment between five years and seven years. It was formerly known as BB&T Capital Partners. Five Points Capital LLC was founded in 1997 and is based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
