Goal Holdings Group is a private equity and venture capital firm specializing in seed, early stage, expansion, and later stage investments. It does not participate in the takeover of distressed assets. The firm typically invests in information technology, digital media, telecommunications, green technology, agricultural technology, medical, health and wellness, business services, and real estate sectors. The firm typically only invests in companies that are located in or near Vancouver but in some cases may invest outside of this geographical area. It seeks to invest between $0.01 million and $2 million in its portfolio companies. It will invest between $0.01 million and $0.1 million in the angel investment stage, upwards of $0.25 million in the super angel stage, and between $0.5 million and $2 million in the venture capital stage. It does not take a controlling stake in its portfolio companies, prefers to be the lead investor and also provides follow on financing. The firm may invest in the form of general cash flow based lending, project financing, inventory financing, debt venture, and equity venture. Within angel funding it provides debt, equity, licensing, royalties, and profit sharing solutions. Within debt it may invest through general cash flow based lending, project financing, and inventory financing. In many cases the firm is able to invest in companies through the investment of infrastructure and resources. It commonly uses partnership structures such as joint venture, licensing and revenue sharing as mechanisms for investing. It also provides advisory services to its portfolio companies.
