Under turnarounds, the firm seeks to invest in civil construction and infrastructure, manufacturing, steel, or heavy industrials with geographical focus on Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States, with deals sourced from New Jersey to Florida and companies based in Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Washington, D.C. For its venture capital investments in early stage companies, the firm seeks to invest in AI/robotics, enterprise technology, B2B, B2B software, information technology, FinTech, SaaS, and marketplace infrastructure in technology companies based in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia. In late stage investments, the firm typically invests from coast to coast within the United States. The firm seeks to invest between $0.1 million and $100 million in companies with an enterprise value between $1 million and $1000 million and sales value of at least $1 million. In case of early venture investments, it typically invests between $0.5 million and $3million, with a typical investment target of $1 million in companies with a pre-money valuation under $5 million and requiring at most $10 million to reach an exit. In most Series A investments, the firm initiates its position between $250,000 and $500,000 and seeks early stage investments at approximately $2 million per position. It reserves two to three times its initial investment for follow-on investments, with a cap of $5 million invested in any single venture. In case of late venture investments, the firm prefers to invest between $0.5 million and $3 million. It seeks to co-invest and take a minority stake in its portfolio companies. It seeks to take a majority ownership in its portfolio companies, however in some cases it may take a minority position. The firm seeks to exit its investment in two years at most. In case of venture capital investments the firm seeks to invest in syndication, either as a lead or a partner. The firms seeks to act as advisory board in its portfolio companies.
