It typically invests in high growth, scalable, low capex private companies. The firm seeks to invest in the technology sector with a focus on disruptive financial technology (fintech) companies. It seeks to invest in companies based in South Africa. The firm seeks to invest between R0.5 million ($0.05 million) and R10 million ($1.02 million) in companies with net asset value less than R20 million ($2.05 million). It may co-invest along with other firms and seeks to invest in the form of equity and take a board seat on its portfolio companies. The firm typically seeks to exit its investments within a three to seven year period via a trade sale. Also, in case any portfolio company is listed on an exchange in due course, the firm will exit its investment by distributing the shares to shareholders as dividends.
