Hauser Private Equity is a private equity arm of The Hauser Group specializing in direct co-investments in privately held companies and fund of fund investments in private equity funds. The firm primarily invests in lower and middle-markets via partnerships with control buyout funds. HPE leverages the expertise of Partners to diligence investments and provide strategic guidance to funds and companies. It does not invest in venture capital, real estate or emerging technology. target funds and companies in healthcare, industrials, and tech-enabled services for financial, business services and consumer goods in the United States. It focuses on North American domiciled funds and companies. The firm targets companies with annual revenue ranging anywhere from $100 million to $300 million and EBITDA between $10 million and $50 million. It seeks to invest in private equity funds which tend to be between $150 million and $750 million. The firm seeks to make direct co-investments and prefers to take a board seat. It prefers to take controlling stakes of at least 51 percent. The firm exits its investments after an anticipated four-year holding period through either a sale to a financial or strategic buyer or a company going public through an initial public offering. Hauser Private Equity was launched in 2008 and is based in Cincinnati, Ohio with additional offices in Los Angeles, California; Santa Monica, California and Chicago, Illinois. Hauser Private Equity is a subsidiary of HPE Capital Management, LLC.
