KRG Capital Management, LP is a private equity firm specializing in investments in lower middle-market platform companies. The firm does not pursue underperforming or turnaround situations for platform companies, nor early stage growth or venture deals. It invests in owner recapitalizations, management buyouts of corporate divisions and private companies, add-on acquisitions/industry consolidations, family successions, public to private; and outright purchases. The firm provides bridge financing. It invests in industrials/specialty or "niche" manufacturing, distribution, and service sectors focusing on healthcare services, medtech (medical devices), and life sciences; packaging and labeling; transportation services and logistics; business services and distribution; advertising and marketing services; energy services, infrastructure, and products; aerospace, defense and government services; specialty finance and insurance; construction materials and services; and infrastructure services and products. The firm invests in companies based in North America with a focus on the United States and Canada, and Western Europe. Later, it may consider acquisitions on a global basis. The firm typically invests between $20 million and $300 million in companies having EBITDA between $6 million and $100 million or more, even though there are no minimum EBITDA levels for add-on acquisitions if strategic to the performance of the platform. It prefers to invest in companies with gross margins of at least 20% and EBITDA margins of 10% or greater; and sales value between $35 million and $400 million. The firm seeks to invest in companies that are customer centric and have viable buy-build strategies. It prefers to take a seat on the board of directors of its portfolio companies. The firm takes controlling and majority stake in its portfolio companies. KRG Capital Management, LP was founded in 1996 and is based in Denver, Colorado.
