About
Mesoamerica Investments is the private equity arm of Mesoamerica specializing in buyouts, middle market, acquisitions, mezzanine, growth and expansion capital financing, recapitalization and selected real estate investments. The firm seeks to invest in Energy Transition, Circular Economy and Conservation. The firm seeks to invest in Latin America. It typically invests a minimum of $50 million per equity investment and between $10 million to $20 million in mezzanine transactions. It prefers to acquire a controlling stake or significant minority positions in its portfolio companies, seeking participation in management over a medium-term investment horizon. It typically invests for a period of four to eight years. The firm considers co-investments and primarily exits its investments through sales to multinationals, IPOs or leveraged recapitalizations. Mesoamerica Investments was founded in 1996 and is based in Bogota, Colombia with an additional office in San Jose, Costa Rica.
