Parallel18 is an international innovation hub headquartered in San Juan, Puerto Rico, dedicated to fostering economic and social growth by supporting underrepresented founders globally. Established in 2015 as a program of the Puerto Rico Science, Technology, and Research Trust, Parallel18 offers a range of initiatives designed to empower entrepreneurs at various stages of their journey. These initiatives include pre-acceleration programs for local startups, a five-month acceleration program for international startups, and a post-acceleration growth program. Through these programs, Parallel18 provides grants, high-quality business training, mentorship, and access to a vast network of investors and corporate partners. Over the years, the organization has supported more than 400 startups, distributed $13.7 million in grants, and facilitated a total investment raise of $210 million. Notable alumni include BrainHi, Syrona Health, and Wisboo. Parallel18 is also recognized for its initiative #workhardplaytropical, emphasizing the vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Puerto Rico.
