Pembroke VCT plc is a generalist venture capital trust, focused on private equity style investments with a consumer focus. From start-ups to more mature businesses we invest in founders and management teams we have confidence in, across industries we believe have exciting growth prospects.In turn these entrepreneurs often seek the financial advice and operational and strategic expertise that our team can provide. We only invest in companies where we can add value over and above simply providing capital, and where we are confident our resources and experience can be most instrumental in their growth. We are hands-on investors, providing a supportive framework and access to unparalleled talent across our Board, Management Team & Advisors.Pembroke was established to take advantage of a strong flow of investment opportunities that Oakley Capital could not act on. Pembroke has already invested £44.8m in 30 companies across four main sectors: accessories & apparel, hospitality, media & technology and health & fitness. We seek to identify investment opportunities which are capable of significant organic growth and sustainable cash generation which have an established brand or the potential to develop their brand. The fund aims to invest in 60% in mature profitable companies, with the remainder in earlier stage, post-revenue, & pre-profit companies.
