Prange Beteiligungen AG is the private equity and venture capital arm of Prange & Partner GbR specializing in investments in start-ups, the growth of companies, succession arrangements, management buyouts, management buy-ins, existing restructuring requirements, and the planned divestment of areas of companies (spin-offs). It primarily invests in small and medium-sized companies in growth markets and promising niche markets. The firm is also open to additional strategic areas of specialization and by means of further acquisitions. The firm focuses its investments in the pharmaceutical sectors, but also invests in the information technology, energy, automotive, and textile sectors. It primarily invests in companies whose growth potential has not yet been fully exhausted and is based in Germany. The firm seeks to invest in companies with turnover between €5 million ($7.34 million) and €100 million ($130.74 million). It prefers to takeover 100 percent participation in its portfolio companies. Although the firm aims at a majority holding in its portfolio companies, it may also enter commitments with partners. The firm also enters minority shareholdings or mezzanine forms in individual cases. Prange Beteiligungen AG was founded in 1997 and is based in Plettenberg, Germany.
