Profinpar Partners s.à r.l. is a venture capital and private equity firm specializing in buyout, growth capital, emerging growth, middle market, mature and later stage investments in small and medium sized companies. It specializes as well in LBO, MBO, MBI and OBO transactions and club deals. It typically invests in companies with at least 20 employees. The firm seeks to invest in the development of companies and does not invest in start-ups unless they are in any of the below mentioned sectors. It doesn´t have any industry of preference but they are attracted to the following sectors: home, energy, security, materials, automation, environment; food and beverage, technology, technical products and services and processes, B2C (traditional products and e-commerce); specialized services, such as engineering, translation, trustees, recruitment, industrial services, utilities, among others, and, life science, health, aging and recreation. It does not invest in biotech or fintech. The firm primarily invests in Belgium, Luxembourg and in the north of France. It invest at least €1 million ($1.2 million) in companies with a turnover of at least €3 million ($4.26 million) and an EBITDA of at least €0.5 million ($0.59 million). The firm prefers to take a stake of at least 40% to 100% in its portfolio companies. It seeks the role of either an active shareholder or a majority or reference shareholder and it seeks to take a seat in the Board of its investee companies. It also manages investments of business angels and it also co-invests. It seeks to hold into its investments from five years to eleven. Profinpar Partners s.à r.l. was founded in June 1997 and is based in Windhof, Luxembourg.
