It also prefers to invest in commercializing advancements in quantum physics with a focus on nanomaterials; semiconductors and semiconductor equipment; technology hardware and equipment; healthcare equipment; quantum encryption security technologies; sensing; fiber optics; and quantum devices such as lasers. It seeks to invest in Europe, United States and Canada. It invests between $1 million and $10 million. The firm prefers to take a board seat in its portfolios companies. Quantum Wave Fund was founded in 2012 and is based in Menlo Park, California with an additional office in Boston, Massachusetts. It operates as a subsidiary of Runa Capital.
