Stairway Capital Management is a principal investment firm specializing in distressed and turnaround investments in lower middle market companies and real estate transactions. The firm prefers to invest through senior secured debt buyouts, bridge or construction financing, term B or second lien financing, mezzanine financing, acquisition financing, working capital loans including DIP loans, real estate loans especially in underperforming situations, acquisitions pursuant to section 363 sales, and equity recapitalizations and buyouts. It typically invests in companies based in the United States however it does invest in selected international markets. The firm seeks to invest between $5 million and $50 million in public and private companies with revenues of $50 million to $500 million and real estate projects. Stairway Capital Management was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Seaford, New York with an additional office in Walpole, Massachusetts.
