Swisscom Ventures is the venture capital arm of Swisscom AG, the leading telecommunications and IT provider in Switzerland. Since our inception in 2007, we have invested in over 60 IT, digital media and telecommunication companies from our offices in Switzerland (Zurich and Lausanne) and the USA (Silicon Valley). As a strategic investor, we offer entrepreneurs access to our technical infrastructure and market channels in addition to financial support. We focus on sectors of domain expertise such as Telco & IT Cloud, DeepTech and Cybersecurity as well as Big Data & AI related new business models where we leverage our access to Swisscom’s technology and market experts., Swisscom Ventures is a venture capital arm of Swisscom AG specializing in investments at every stage of financing including series A, series B, series C, seed, start-up, early stage growth companies, mid venture, and late venture investments in the Fintech sector. It does not invest in biotechnology. The firm invests in small and medium sized companies in the technology sector with a focus on information and communications technology, digital media, fintech, digital banking services, deeptech, robotics, sustainability, agtech, edtech, IoT, clean tech, cybersecurity, telecom and IT infrastructure, artificial intelligence and entertainment technologies sectors. It prefers to invest globally with a focus on companies based in Switzerland. The firm invests between $1 million and $2 million in seed; between $2 million and $10 million in series A; between $5 million and $20 million in series B; between $10 million and $20 million in series C investments. It typically co-invests alongside large venture capital firms. The firm seeks minority stakes in its portfolio companies. Swisscom Ventures was founded in 2005 and is based in Zurich, Switzerland with additional offices in Worblaufen, Switzerland, Zurich, Switzerland, Menlo Park, California; and Lausanne, Switzerland.
