The Anderson Group LLC is a private equity firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions, add-on acquisitions, later stage, mature, emerging growth, management buyouts, corporate divestitures, turnarounds and special situations, private recapitalization, industry consolidation, and growth capital transactions in the lower end of middle market companies. The firm is industry agnostic; however, there are some industries it tend to avoid and It does not invest in startups and venture capital transactions or in companies engaged in technology, biotech, natural resources, restaurants or retail businesses, companies that perform heavy construction projects requiring bonding, financial services and healthcare. The firm also considers investments in companies that are at least operating since five years. The firm prefers to invest in niche manufacturing, distributors, commercial services, other business products and services, consumer durables, food products, other consumer products and services, non-financial services, materials, agriculture, other information technology, environmental remediation, distribution and service-based businesses. It targets investments in companies based in the United States. The firm typically invests in companies with sales between $10 million and $100 million, revenues between $10 million and $100 million, and EBITDA between $1 million and $8 million for platform acquisitions and $1 million to $5 million for normalized platforms and no limitations for add-ons. Within special situation investments, it invests in corporate orphans, Companies with Customer Concentration, Out-of-Favor Industries and Companies with Unique Environmental, Union or Other Problems. For Performing Businesses, the firm seeks to invests in generational sales, cash flow transactions, and leveraged recapitalizations. For turnaround investments, the firm seeks to invest in companies based in the United States with minimum revenues of $15million. It seeks to acquire a voting control in its portfolio companies. The firm also makes investments in an out of court restructuring, a 363 sale, the sponsorship of a reorganization plan for debtor-in-possession Chapter 11 companies, or an investment in an underperforming company. The firm invests through its personal capital. The Anderson Group LLC was founded in 1985 and is based in St. Petersburg, Florida with additional offices in Shanghai, China and Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
