    The Cambria Group is a private equity firm specializing in small and mid-sized businesses. It does not make investments in startups or early-stage companies; turnarounds; hostile acquisitions; and project investments. The firm seeks to invest in leveraged buyouts; management buyouts; recapitalizations; industry consolidations; growth equity infusions; generational transfer of ownerships; companies making strategic acquisitions; shareholder transition such as partner retirements or buyouts; and restructuring of businesses. It is Industry agnostic, but historical investments include low-tech manufacturing, processing, distribution, transportation, resource, service businesses, multi-location healthcare, and SaaS. It does not invest in retail, technology, and healthcare industries. It typically invests in company with minimum operating earnings (EBIT) of $1 million; revenues less than $50 million; and valuations less than $25 million. The firm invests up to a maximum of $5 million in equity to acquire a controlling position and invests in transaction with maximum value of $25 million. The firm’s investment could be used for acquisition of an equity stake; debt recapitalization; acquisitions; capital expenditures; or working capital needs. It prefers to be the lead investor but can invest alongside other investors in controlled or shared controlled positions in situations requiring more capital than it can provide alone. The firm also prefers the current management to remain, particularly in key function roles. It primarily invests in equities or quasi-equities securities and arranges debt financing through lending institutions. The firm prefers to make investments for a period between three years and ten years and can even hold positions indefinitely. The Cambria Group was founded in 1996 and is based in Dallas, Texas with an additional office in Dallas, Texas.
