Trium Investments is a private equity and venture capital firm specializing in early stage, startup, growth capital, expansion capital, small and middle market corporate acquisitions, and recapitalizations. It primarily invest in SME's, healthcare, fintech, education, biotechnology, renewable energies, and security sector. It primarily invests in South Africa but also considers investments in African and European countries. The firm invests a maximum of R20 million ($1.98 million) in its companies. It prefers to invest in the companies with operating profit margins above 25% for retail and manufacturing, and above 50% for Services. It acquires more than 50 percent stake for early stage and more than 25 percent stake for expansion capital.
