Turning Basin Capital Partners is a private equity firm with a unique focus on lower middle market companies that support critical infrastructure in a wide range of energy, industrial and commercial markets. It invests in companies that create value by addressing complex environmental, health and safety, energy efficiency, and regulatory challenges. The Firm provides equity capital to fund growth initiatives and to facilitate ownership transition for entrepreneurial service providers and equipment manufacturers and distributors that are well-positioned to capitalize on market opportunities in these rapidly changing sectors. Turning Basin Capital partners with successful management teams or will recruit new management if the owner is looking to transition out of the business. It prefers to invest in companies based in North America with a focus on the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Gulf Coast Regions. The firm seeks to invest between $2 million and $20 million in equity in companies with enterprise values less than $30 million, with $10 million or more in revenues and at least $1.50 million in EBITDA. The firm seeks to maintain significant board representation with every portfolio company. It prefers to act as the lead investor taking a significant or majority ownership with management owning the balance, or in the alternative, minority ownership with co-investment partners. The firm prefers to invest from its personal capital. Turning Basin Capital Partners was formed in December 2012 and is based in Richmond, Virginia with an additional office in Richmond, Virginia.
