Unexo, SAS is a private equity and venture capital arm of Crédit Agricole SA specializing in investments in middle market and mature companies, growth capital, development stages, leveraged management buyout, leveraged management buyin, owner's buyout, and recapitalization transactions. It seeks to invest in companies across all sectors except financials with a focus on agro food firms. The firm prefers to invest in small and medium sized companies based in West France including Grand Ouest, Brittany, Upper Normandy, Bretagne, Charente-Maritime, Haute, Pays de la Loire, Poitou-Charentes, Burgundy, Franche-Comté and Basse-Normandie. For growth capital transactions including external and internal growth, and buyout transactions such as MBO, MBI and OBO, the firm typically invests between €0.3 million ($0.32 million) and €10 million ($13.10 million) as a co-investor in companies with total revenues of €5 million ($6.55 million). For capital innovation transactions, the firm typically invests up to €3 million ($3.38 million) as a co-investor in companies with total revenues of at least €0.25 million ($0.28 million). For recapitalization transactions it invests between €0.10 million ($0.13 million) and €6 million ($8.74 million). It considers investing through its balance sheet. It seeks to take minority stakes in its portfolio companies. Unexo, SAS was founded in 1993 and is based in Rennes, France with an additional office in Nantes, France; Rouen, France; and Caen, Spain.
