About
Vanneck Limited is a private equity firm specializing in investments in bridge financing, buyouts, and venture capital. It does not invest in start-up, IPO's, or very early stage companies but invests in later stages of the companies. The firm will not invest in companies with annualized turnover of under £1 million ($2 million). It seeks to invest during early venture, mid venture, and late venture stages of the companies. The firm invests in all sectors with a major focus on technology but it does not prefer to invest in oil or mineral exploration, drug discovery, or property companies. The firm invests in companies based in United Kingdom and North America in US. It invests between £1 million ($2 million) and £7.5 million ($15 million). The firm seeks investments in private growth companies that are intending to list on AIM or another market or a trade sale within, typically 24 months of investment. It also invests in companies that are already listed and are seeking capital as part of a refinancing. The firm also seeks to invest in companies that require finance to build out the balance sheet and operations in order to ensure viability as a listed entity; to replace early stage investors or, in some circumstances, managers, who wish to achieve a partial sale of their investment before listing; to provide bridge finance in anticipation of a listing, especially when market public market conditions for IPO's are poor; and to finance an acquisition made in anticipation of a listing or trade sale. The firm can either act as a lead investor or as part of a syndicate. It typically invests by way of a convertible loan, but will sometimes invest in simple equity. Vanneck Limited was founded in June 6, 2005 and is based in London, United Kingdom with an additional office in San Francisco, California.
