The family-owned investment company, Zibra A / S, was founded by the contractor Niels Zibrandtsen. He was one of the prominent players in the 1990s, when the Danish telecommunications monopoly was broken and the way paved for creating new businesses based on innovative telecommunications solutions and the ability to execute. Niels Zibrandtsen quickly saw the possibilities and established the telecommunications company GlobalConnect, which could offer the business market a new, fast fiber-based data infrastructure as well as the first wireless connection across the Sound.
