Proxima Fusion develops fusion power plants using quasi-isodynamic (QI) stellarators to provide clean energy to the electrical grid. The company integrates high-temperature superconducting magnet technology and computational design to build upon research from the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics. Their roadmap includes the development of a stellarator model coil by 2027 and a demonstration stellarator in the early 2030s.
