Sequana Medical

The company develops and commercializes the alfapump, a fully-implanted, wireless medical device that automatically pumps excess fluid from the abdominal cavity into the bladder for elimination through urination. Its technology targets patients with recurrent or refractory ascites due to liver cirrhosis and is also developing DSR (Direct Sodium Removal) therapy for fluid overload in heart failure. The alfapump system is FDA-approved in the U.S. and has received the CE mark in Europe.
